  11.        Especially HIV-infected people with hemo-dialysis has difficulties,
  12.        because of high risk of infection of medical workers. To eliminate these
  13.        difficulties, it is necessary to improve socio-medical support for
  14.        HIV-infected people with hemo-dialysis and education of medical workers.
  15.        A 50-year-old man was admitted to the hospital because of fever, general
  16.        fatigue and weight loss. Antibodies to HIV was examined and p24 antibody
  17.        was positive. Because of chronic renal failure, hemo-dialysis was
  18.        required. He wished to transfer to the hospital which is close to his
  19.        home, to continue hemo-dialysis. At first, he was refused to admit to
  20.        the hospital. However, after explanation of management of HIV and
  21.        importance of medical support, he was able to admit to the hospital.
  22.        From this case, we learned importance of socio-medical support for
  23.        HIV-infected people with hemo-dialysis and education of medical workers.
  24.        Since medical workers of hemo-dialysis have high incidence of exposure
  25.        to blood of patients, knowledge about prevention of HIV infection is
  26.        important.
